Bridlington Health Strategy Survey 2024

The engagement, conducted by Humber and North Yorkshire ICB, involved a survey and focus groups from July to August 2024, aiming to understand Bridlington residents’ healthcare needs and challenges.

  • Participants and Findings:
    • 745 respondents participated, with a majority aged 45-74.
    • Key findings included
      • improvements in GP services,
      • but challenges in accessing dental and mental health services,
      • and transportation barriers.

  • Technology and Youth Insights:
    • Most respondents had access to technology, though there were mixed feelings about using it for healthcare.
    • Focus groups in schools highlighted concerns about mental health, exercise, and diet.

  • Next Steps: The findings are being shared with stakeholders to develop pilot programs, such as mobile health units and expanded GP access, with continuous community involvement through the Bridlington Multi-agency Group.
