The forthcoming 2024 Director of Public Health annual report for East Riding of Yorkshire, will highlight the importance of public health initiatives in preventing disease, promoting healthy lifestyles, and building supportive communities. It will emphasise that public health efforts not only improve quality of life but also save money, with every £1 spent yielding £14 in savings elsewhere in the public sector. The report highlights the work of the East Riding Council Public Health team across various stages of life, from child health programs to services for lifestyle habits and addictions, mental health, and chronic disease prevention.
