East Riding Early Help Data Pack document

The Early Help Data Pack 2024–25 provides an evidence base to support the planning, targeting and evaluation of Family Help and early intervention services across the East Riding of Yorkshire.

It shows that, while outcomes for children and young people are often broadly similar to or better than national averages, these overall figures mask significant inequalities within the local authority, with poorer outcomes concentrated in more deprived communities such as parts of Bridlington, Withernsea and Goole. The data highlights key challenges linked to deprivation, poverty, low income, teenage conceptions, infant health, breastfeeding, smoking around children, obesity, educational disadvantage, SEND, injuries and domestic abuse, while also showing strengths such as generally high vaccination uptake.

Overall, the document demonstrates the need for targeted, place-based early help services that respond to local patterns of need and focus resources where children, young people and families face the greatest disadvantage.
