Workshops were conducted with VCSE organsations in February 2023, with a focus on inclusion groups.

The workshop identified several barriers and challenges faced by the inclusion groups such as access to services, communication, data sharing, funding, trust, and stigma. VCSE groups themselves found that constant change made it difficult to know what is going on and that there was often not enough time to deal with clients. The workshops proposed some solutions to improve the situation, such as simplifying the signposting and referral system, standardising the data sharing toolkit, delivering services in the community, and involving the inclusion groups in the design and commissioning of services. There was a proposal to develop an Inclusion Champions Scheme.
