Sexual ill health and wellbeing is strongly linked to deprivation and health inequality. It presents a significant cost to the public purse as well to the individual, with consequences including episodes of discomfort, long-term disability, emotional feelings of regret and possible discrimination. In order to improve sexual health, we need an understanding of the sexual health needs of the local population within the East Riding of Yorkshire.
East Riding Sexual Health documents by the Public Health Team
The 2019 East Riding rapid needs assessment document can be viewed below and data from it has previously been used to inform commissioning and service design and as such formed part of the East Riding JSNA process. It is anticipated that a refreshed document will be available during the winter of 2025.
